THE PACKSADDLE AND THE PREMIER
The head of the ministers went to seeTo a donkey, how a packsaddle should be.The donkey spoke to him in a rage:“What do you want here, my good man!”You did so well with the saddle they put on youAnd now you want another from me too?
THE PARLIAMENTARIAN AND THE DONKEY
When they called a parliamentarian a donkey,Do you know what the donkey had to say:“Our kind must be of great weight,As long as 140 donkeys run this state.”
THE WISE SHEPHERD
He gave away his flockFor an office and a chair. Now the milking,Brings him a great economic share.
MY LATE GRANDMOTHER
Whenever we walked past the parliament,She would turn her head away, we would watch her...
She would say with all her humor and culture:“The thoughts—chops that come out of this oven,Are always half-baked, they can never be eaten!”
PARLIAMENT
A place where wisdom and culture are traded,An assembly... where a sensible word was never stated.
POLITICS
A woman, impregnated with words and promises,But, instead of births, she produces miscarriages.
RAKI
Raki poured into a glassBursts into beads like tears,And says with a full voice:
“Strange, these people,
They do not resemble each other,Some have no sense and seek it,
Some have it and lose it!”
ELECTION TIME
The candidate talked and talked,At great length and breadth...
He played the lamb, Edi, Sali,“Voter today, what do you decide.”
But keep your eyes open wide,For there are lambs with beasts inside...
Only the words are coated in honey,Do not look at the golden cloak...
Behind the fine-colored cloak,A wild beast stays hidden...
What you milk yourself, you will drink!Bottoms up, may it do you good...
