THE MAGIC OF AUTUMN DUSK
Autumn has laid a carpet of yellow leaves outside,as if to tell me:“Walk on me, do not be afraid.”The wind smells of roasted chestnutsand the rain brings the clean scent of earth.I have lit a small light in the roomand I am savoring this beautiful quiet, where the only thing I do issavor the magic of autumn dusk.Neither cold, nor hot.An air that makes you feel lifein every breath…•The screen keeps talking:news, protesters, a falling economy. And I find time among my thoughtsto write a couple of lines in silence…As if my whole worldlies within the soul that wants to speak. As if poetry knows how to speak to memore beautifully than any other language. One line, then another…•And the evening gathers beautifully, like around an old table, and waits for me thereto quietly savor its hours. With no worries left behind.Simply with the magic of family, this magic that makes youlive happily.
I STILL WAIT FOR YOU ALIVE
I often go to that placewhere we used to meet, hoping that one day you would come…And I waited and waited, until time became a butterfly, but the waiting, strangely, seemed beautiful to me anyway.•Without rushing, only with that little voice of the heartthat spoke without a sound:He will come…•And one day you came. Not with footsteps, nor with a voice. You came like a sweet memorythat told me:“Here I am…”You came like a soft featherthat caressed my souland whispered to me:“I haven’t left…”•But, even so,my eyes keep looking for you. They want you in front of them, they want to touch you again…That body, that gaze, that shadow you cast upon the earth.•And I follow you without knowing where, and I wait for you without knowing when.Because, even though I tell myself you are here, even though I feel you near in memories, inside me remains a desirethat not even time can extinguish:I want even moreto see you alive.
