Alma Mehmeti

Alma Mehmeti was born, raised and educated in Tirana, where she finished the Karl Gega secondary school. She lived in Italy for about twenty years and now lives in England. She writes poems, fables and song lyrics. She has published the poetry collections “Conservo la mia speranza in te” (2017) and “Nelle mani del destino” (2022), and a book of fables for children dedicated to her daughters. Her poems have appeared in several anthologies. On YouTube she reads her own poems and those of other Albanian poets, Pilo Zyba among them.
